RecognizingPatricia Morales
Patricia Morales is Director at United Citizens Initiative, formerly known as HUG Helping for a United Good. Patricia is a talented communicator, natural leader and happy bookworm with a passion for justice. Raising the eyebrows of her peers since 1985, she is known for her analytical approach and her inability to keep quiet. Patricia’s expertise is in the development of social projects. Her weapon of choice is effective communication, excelling in environments that require multicultural sensitivity.
Patricia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Monterrey with a focus on philosophy, and currently looking into a Master’s Degree program. She was prompted to enter this profession as she always cared about justice, culture, and education. The most rewarding aspect of her work is making a difference in the lives of others. Her work is centered around justice and the simple notion of fairness between gender, races, and those of various sexual preferences.
Patricia explains the motivation that underlies her work by pointing out that, as we all know, women have been underrepresented until resent times when brave people stood up for their recognition. Patricia’s mother and her grandmother are among the women whose efforts advanced the fair treatment of the female gender. Patricia wants nothing more than to continue striving for justice and representation in any realm she can and relishes the opportunity to join this association. She would like to bring her experience to the table as well as learn and benefit from the network of strong women that already contribute to it.
Patricia resides in Quintana Roo, Mexico. She enjoys reading, traveling, deep conversations, ballet, and being in nature in her spare time.
