Miriam Louzado is a worldwide professional with more than 20 years of experience on finance. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an Executive MBA from NYU (2011).

She has lived and work in several countries, speaking fluently Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. She believes her worldwide experience will provide meaningful contribution to other members. She is currently an EMEA Financial Controller with Eaton where she is known for her dynamic leadership skills.

In her spare time, Miriam enjoys travel.

RecognizingTiff Sheppard

 

 

After completing a short stint at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in multiple trades with a carpentry focus, Tiff Sheppard left that behind for a flourishing career in design and renovation which eventually lead her to working in Film and Television Set Decoration. But through it all, working as an actor has remained her truest ambition. She has spent over two decades as an actress in Vancouver, as is and avid explorer. She continues to grow her skills in travel videography with the hope of branching out to world sights and documentaries.

Tiff’s innate skills are hands on and creative. She loves to design props, lighting, furniture, and to turn something plain into something strange and wonderful. Above all, she loves solving problems, or inventing ways to improve efficiency.

Tiff has a deep infatuation with Motion Capture performing and would love to collaborate on animation and video game design. Having been an avid gamer and bigtime nerd for just about all her life, she has found her career crossover to be incredibly fulfilling.

Passionate about her work, Tiff credits her success to dedication, drive, and perseverance. She looks forward to connecting with likeminded professionals.

RecognizingBrianne van Reenen

 
Brianne van Reenen is the owner and founder of Wild Lark Strategies (https://wildlarkstrategies.com/), a holistic sales and marketing consulting company based in Lubbock, Texas. Drawing upon over 13 years of experience in marketing, sales and executive leadership, Brianne is highly skilled in honing the story of a brand, and utilizing the power of storytelling to build compelling, successful campaigns. She has built marketing departments from the ground up and offers a unique vantage point of having the intimate technical and practical knowledge from both the creative and client perspective. Today, she has turned that expertise to publishing.
 
Most recently, Brianne has launched Wild Lark Books (https://wildlarkbooks.com/), a bookshop specializing in traditionally published and internally published books, that supports independent authors on their journey to self-publishing. Additionally, the Wild Lark Books Fund was established to lift voices of historically underserved communities by providing funds for writers to self-publish. Located in the Lubbock Metro Area, Wild Lark Books provides an intimate, local bookshop filled with one-of-a-kind resources and literary treasures.
 
Wild Lark Books is well on its way to being firmly established as a cultural center in the artistic community. Driven by a mission to “never say no” to an author, their team understands that what constitutes a good book is subjective and decided by the reader. After earning dual bachelor’s degree in History and English from Midwestern State University, Brianne went on to launch her career working as a Government, Education and Medical Specialist for West Texas at Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA, Inc. She quickly demonstrated her aptitude for sales and team leadership, and went on to serve as Channel Marketing Alliance Vice Chair of Communications at Dynamic Communities and Director of Marketing at Njevity, Inc.
 
Outside of her professional endeavors, Brianne is a supporter of Ballet Lubbock and contributes to the thriving arts community of the city.

RecognizingVanessa Montoya, EdD

 
Dr. Vanessa Montoya is Adjunct Professor at Olivet Nazarene University. With over 17 years of experience in her field, she has taught at nearly every level and specializes in dual language, ESL, bilingual education, reading resource specialist, and Spanish as a foreign language. She is also a skilled coach in biliteracy and instruction, and highly experienced in coaching teachers on behavior management, backwards design, PLC implementation, curriculum development, and professional development.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Roosevelt University, Vanessa went on to complete master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction, and in Bilingual Education. She then earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Walden University, and has taught students at the graduate level for over a decade.
 
Passionate about her work, Vanessa models the “I do, we do, you do” with teachers in classrooms as well. She is proud single mother of two grown children, one of whom has also gone on to become a Spanish teacher.

RecognizingAlesia Sandra Mitchell

 
Alesia Sandra Mitchell is Supervisor in Customer Services at the United States Postal Service. She is highly skilled about knowledgeable about her job and is known for her passion and positive attitude. Alesia loves helping people to solve problems, and is skilled in policy and team leadership.
 
Born and raised in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, also known as “America’s Paradise,” Alesia launched her career by serving in the United States Army. In her 9 years of enlistment, she served as a 71L, Administrative Specialist. Upon receiving honorable discharge, she went on to study Campbell University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management.
 
Today, Alesia resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She credits her success to focus, drive and perseverance.
